Should Improvisation be a Required Business Skill?
Posted by: | CommentsI worked on many of my university’s theatrical efforts, mostly behind the scenes doing things like building sets or managing lights or sound. I helped soap up Nellie Forbush’s hair off-stage before the infamous “wash that man right out of my hair” scene for a production of South Pacific. One semester we even did some improvisation in a speech class.
Who would’ve thought you could bring improv into the business world? Creativity consultant Jay Rhoderick, that’s who. In fact, Rhoderick says workshops that teach improv skills can give business teams permission to be more creative in the way they solve day-to-day challenges.
